And how the hardness of the shearer blade and wear resistance depends mainly on the processing of heat treatment, the higher the hardness of the blade in the heat treatment, its shear iron plate will be more wear-resistant. But need to pay attention to one point, the higher the hardness of the blade is the better?

Hardness is too high may cause the blade edge to become brittle, in the shear hardness is too high or thick iron plate, easy to appear shear blade chipping situation. So the heat treatment of the blade is the key to determine the hardness, but also directly affects the performance of the blade.

So how is the heat treatment of shearing machine blades is correct? Multiple tempering and holding time control.

Tempering: Tempering in the blade heat treatment is very critical, multiple tempering can ease the stress generated during processing, thereby improving the stability of the blade quality. Normal steels are generally tempered at least twice, while harder steels should be tempered more than twice.

Time control: Tempering holding time is not too short, generally controlled in two to three hours, the time is too long is easy to appear chipped.

Cut-to-length line machine blade production is a certain technical, in order to save costs to shorten the tempering time, and the blade is prone to chipping, the quality of substandard problems. This is not desirable.
