What if you want to install a die on a punch press without modification?

The prerequisite for production is to have the corresponding mold. According to different processing requirements, the production requires frequent replacement and installation of molds.
So how should the molds be installed?
1. Before mounting, please make sure that the cutting edge of the die is sharp, there is no broken on the cutting edge of the concave die and there is no missing corner on the fist. If there are cracks or for chipped corners, please sharpen the edges first
2. A silicon steel plate should be inserted between the upper and lower dies
3. before closing the die to prevent damage to the cutting edge due to the operation process
4. Before attaching the die to the punch, use an oil stone to grind off the burrs at the bottom and top, and then use a cloth to clean up the trash. In case there are burrs or trash on the top and bottom planes of the die, this will cause the punch burrs to be out of tolerance.
5. Adjust the travel of the slider to the proper position to press the upper die and you must make sure that the upper plane of the die handle or die base fits closely with the bottom plane of the slider by gently pressing the lower die platen screw.
Adjust the slider upward and remove the silicon steel plate from the center. Loosen the lower molding plate screw and move the adjusting slider downward until the convex die enters the concave die by 3 to 4 mm. then tighten the lower molding screw plate.
When punching a new die, the punch needs to enter the concave die by 3 to 4 mm, otherwise punch breakage or die breakage will occur.
7.Lift up to move the ram to the upper stop position, adjust the punching rod stop screw until it is tightened, and then idle several times to observe that the die, tool and various mechanisms of punching are working properly.
If there is no abnormality, then production can start.
