Knowledge of Slitting Line

It is mainly used for slitting and shearing of tinplate, galvanized iron, silicon steel sheet, cold rolled steel strip, stainless steel strip, aluminum strip, steel strip and other coil materials.

It is used to cut the coil material into strip material of required size. It is the material that cuts the metal coil material into the width of various items and makes the next item into a small roll again for the next process.

The main function of this metal coil slitting line is to cut the larger width coils into smaller coils and any thickness. It is necessary for the transformer and motor industries as well as for other precision metal strips.

Since the thickness of the coil strip is directly proportional to the capacity of the sheet slitting line, the thicker the main coil, the larger size coil slitter is required. In general, we can classify slitting lines into three categories based on thickness differences, namely thin plate slitting lines, medium and thick plate slitting machines and thick plate metal coil slitting machines.

Thin plate slitting line, also known as metal coil slitting machine, is a production line that cuts the master roll into small rolls of specific width by means of circular knives.

The sheet slitting line is suitable for coil strips with thicknesses of (0.2~1) mm, (0.3~2) mm, (0.3~3) mm and (0.4~4) mm; and the strip width is changeable. 600mm. 1000mm, 1250mm, 1600mm, 1800mm, etc.

Medium-thick plate slitting line
The capacity of medium-thick steel coil slitting line is mainly used to slit steel coils with thickness of 0.6~5mm, 1~6mm, 2~8mm or 3~10mm. And it is used to cut steel coils with widths of: 600~1600mm, 800~1800mm or 800~2000mm into narrower baby steel coils. This kind of steel slitting machine is widely used to prove steel strip coil for cold rolling mill, welded pipe machine, coiling machine, etc.

Thick plate slitting line
This thick plate slitting line, also called metal coil slitting machine, can slit thick steel parent coils into small baby coils. The thick plate slitting line is composed of the following parts: coil loading car, double mandrel large load uncoiler, gated head guide, press shovel equipment, and double roll pinch feeder.
