Slitting Machine Safety Operation Procedures

If the machinery and equipment in the process of use does not comply with the safety operating procedures, accidents may occur, endangering the safety of the operator. The following describes the safety operation procedures of the slitting machine. When using the slitting machine, you can follow the following steps.
Slitter is used to unroll, slit and wind metal coils into coils with the required width. Slitter is suitable for cold and hot rolled carbon steel, silicon steel, tinplate, stainless steel and various metal materials after surface coating.

1、 Before opening the equipment, check whether the lubrication parts are lubricated (screw, roller, sprocket, transmission gear, expansion mechanism, etc.).

2、 Check whether the protection cover is firm and reliable, and whether the fasteners are loose.

3、 Check whether the motor grounding wire is firm, whether the operation button is damaged, and whether the circuit is damaged.

4、 Check whether the gearbox oil level is within the standard range.

5、 Check the wear and tear of the pneumatic brake, there should be no grease on the brake pad.

6、 Check whether the surface of the blade is cracked or off.

7、 The compressed air pressure is 0.5-0.7MPa normally, and the hydraulic pump pressure is 5-8MPa normally.

8、 Before use, the loading trolley and unloading trolley should be waiting for the material at the outermost lower position. The reel of the uncoiler should be in the minimum tightening state, the centering cylinder should be in the middle position, and the pressure roller should be in the upper limit position. After loading the material, make the roll tightly unfold the sleeve to prevent slipping.

9、 The rear ring guide should be pulled to the working position of the belt. The opening of the guide roller on the front tension table should be in the maximum position, and the pinch roller on the rear tension table should be in the upper limit position. The front and rear tensioning table airbags need to be deflated and the pressure plate should be opened to the maximum position.

10、 Before ready to use, the scrap winder should be in the winding position and the tail trimmer should be opened to the maximum opening degree. The winder‘s reel is in the minimum tightening position, the jaws are turned to the proper position, and the hydraulic push plate should be retracted to the rear limit.

11、 The disc cutter needs to be equipped with a cutter head and locked according to the process requirements, and then the frame is locked on the operating side. Then adjust the overlap of upper and lower knives according to the process requirements and lock them, then start the machine to check the degree of blade engagement to prevent damage to the blades.

12、 When adjusting the strip type again, the tool clearance and winding tension should be adjusted according to the process requirements.

13、 The distance to the inside of the disk should be slightly greater than the width of the strip to prevent strip scratching.

14、 Before hanging the copper strip, check the spreader for any damage to prevent damage to the equipment.

15、 Before loading, run the equipment dry for 2-3 minutes to observe the operation of each part, and run the equipment after it runs normally.

16、 When loading, pay attention to whether the position of the inner hole of the copper coil is correct. If the position of the coil height direction is found to be incorrect, please stop the movement of the loading trolley immediately and readjust the position before centering.

17、 Wipe the cutter shaft and frame arch before starting to remove debris and waste from on and around the equipment.

18、 Start the uncoiler and disc cutter when cutting the belt, and prohibit threading the belt at high speed. When starting to cut, the back tension pad should be lowered to press the copper belt, and then the bag should be inflated to keep the stability of the copper belt during the cutting process. During the cutting process, it is strictly forbidden to stand in front of the reel to prevent the broken belt from hurting people.

19、 When adjusting the copper belt, you must wear gloves to hold the copper. When pulling the copper belt, the palm of the hand should not be close to the edge of the copper belt to prevent the edge of the copper belt from hurting the hand. During the operation, it is strictly forbidden to operate between the blades with your hands, and it is strictly forbidden to touch the edge of the copper belt with your hands. Adjustment speed should be slowed down during adjustment.

20、 Before starting the winding machine, check that all belts are clamped and start high speed winding when normal. After the winding is completed, the tape must be bundled to prevent the tape from loosening.

21、 When the end of the copper belt is cut out of the disc, the live sleeve table must be moved to the center of the device to prevent the copper belt from entering the bottom of the live sleeve pit and scratching the copper belt.

22、 . When recycling waste, no one should stand in front of the waste edge winder to prevent the waste from smashing your feet.

23、 When installing the copper belt, it should be steady and slow to prevent damage to the equipment and the copper belt.

24、 If the equipment is found to be malfunctioning during operation, it should be stopped in time to notify the mechanic to troubleshoot the problem and should not cause the equipment to work.

25、 During the operation and maintenance of the equipment, no moving parts are allowed to cross. Prohibit touching the rotating parts, and shall not cross the safety fence.

26、 When the equipment is not in use for 8 hours, the main power switch should be turned off.
